1963

The Vidal family founded Vidal Candies, in the Spanish town of Molina de Segura, with a clear objective: to satisfy the needs of consumers worldwide.

1970

Vidal Candies was a pioneer company in Spain in the manufacturing of gummies, coated bubble gum and marshmallow with and without chocolate compound.

1972

Vidal Candies was the first Spanish company that took part in the ISM Exhibition that is held every year in Koln, Germany.

1973

Vidal Candies opens new facilities.

1975

Due to the continuous work on the research into new designs, Vidal Candies patents the first plastic jar to display candies at point of sale. The effort in R & D has also allowed Vidal Candies to continue with new creations and patents that strengthen its leadership in the market.

1978

A new Logo is launched.

1979

Vidal becomes the first company to manufacture extruded licorice candy in a continuous process.

1981

Vidal launched, for the first time in the market, its “Bricks”, a licorice candy product that has become a classic in the field of sugar confectionery and has been added to the catalog of other competitors.

1984

Vidal Candies adapts its logo to a more “eighties” appearance.

1989

Major investments are carried out on the production lines and other facilities, due to the progressive growth of the company. This new effort translates itself into a greater International presence and the strengthening of its leadership in the Spanish Market.

1992

Along with the latest developments, there are other innovative creations that forever changed the field of sugar confectionery, including Chewing Gum Sticks filled with effervescent, liquid filled coated bubble-gum and Jelly Filled gummies.

1997

Vidal Candies becomes the first company to be certified ISO 9001, which is a clear reflection of its concern for the quality of its products and health and food safety standards. New logo creation

2003

Vidal Candies gains the British Retailer Consortium (BRC) certificate and at a later stage in 2007, the International Food Standard (IFS). Both at the highest level.

2006

Current logo creation.

2012

The company obtains the approval of the Jewish and Muslim communities for many of its products, through Kosher Certification (2005) and Halal Certificate of Compliance (2011).

2013

The Company achieves Fifty Years of Sweetening the World!

2017

Vidal Candies is bigger than ever!

Over 2 Million Square Feet facilities equipped with modern technology, a strong International presence in 90 countries and more than 3,500 product references.
